This is a moderate-to-hard trek covering about 10km of rugged, steep, and sometimes slippery jungle terrain. You don't need to be a professional athlete, but a good level of physical fitness and stamina is required. It is not suitable for young children under 9, or anyone with knee, back, or cardiovascular issues.
Proper trekking shoes or sturdy running shoes with good grip are mandatory (strictly no flip-flops or sandals for the hike). We highly recommend wearing long, breathable trousers to protect your legs from insects, leeches, and scratches. Don't forget to pack a swimsuit in your daypack for the kayaking and swimming part later!
Light rain is common in tropical jungles and often adds to the adventurous experience! However, if there is heavy rain, storms, or warnings from the National Park making the steep trails unsafe, we will contact you to reschedule or switch to our boat-based "Lan Ha Bay Full Day Cruise" with a price adjustment. Safety is our top priority.
Absolutely! The local family in Viet Hai Village prepares fresh and delicious homemade meals. Please clearly state your dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut allergy, etc.) in the booking form, and we will ensure you have plenty of tasty options.
Yes, definitely! While cycling is the most popular and scenic way to explore the village, we also have an electric van (buggy car) service available. Just let our tour guide know, and you can take the electric car from the village to the harbor (a small extra fee of around 50,000 VND applies).
Since you will be hiking for several hours over mountains, you should ONLY bring a small, lightweight daypack with your essentials (water, bug spray, sunscreen, phone, swimsuit). Please leave your heavy backpacks or suitcases securely at your hotel or at our Cat Ba Panorama office.
Don't wear your white sneakers!
