Itinerary

Day 1: Ha Giang City – Quan Ba District – Can Ty Commune

  • 9:00 AM: Start the journey from Ha Giang City after breakfast and head toward Quan Ba District (50 km). Enter the Dong Van Karst Plateau, pass through the stunning Bac Sum Pass, and stop at Heaven’s Gate for panoramic views of Tam Son Town and the famous Twin Mountains.
  • 11:45 AM: Enjoy a delicious lunch in Tam Son Town.
  • Afternoon: Hike to Lung Khuy Cave (4 km round trip) and visit the Lung Tam weaving village to learn about the traditional crafts of the H’mong people.
  • 5:00 PM: Arrive at your homestay in Can Ty Commune. Visit the nearby 250-year-old Lonely Tree for a peaceful evening stroll.
  • Evening: Enjoy a traditional meal at the homestay and rest up for the next day.

Day 2: Can Ty – Tham Ma Pass – Lung Cu – Dong Van Town

  • 7:45 AM: Depart after breakfast and head to the stunning Tham Ma Pass, one of Vietnam’s most beautiful mountain slopes.
  • Visit the historic H’mong King’s Palace, built over a century ago, to learn about the rich history of the H’mong people.
  • Climb to the Lung Cu Flag Tower, Vietnam’s northernmost point, and take in views of the China border.
  • 12:00 PM: Lunch in Dong Van Town before heading to the iconic Ma Pi Leng Pass, known for its dramatic cliffs and breathtaking views.
  • Explore the Nho Que River with a 50-minute boat tour, surrounded by the towering walls of Tu San Canyon.
  • 5:00 PM: Arrive at your homestay in Dong Van Town. Relax with dinner and enjoy live music in the evening.

Day 3: Dong Van – Meo Vac – Ha Giang City

  • 8:00 AM: Begin your day with a scenic ride to Meo Vac Town and pass through Sa Ly Pass, where you can witness traditional H’mong houses and vibrant local life.
  • Stop in Mau Due for lunch and visit the tranquil Duong Thuong Commune, known for its rustic charm and endless cornfields.
  • Travel through Thai An Commune and Thuan Hoa to return to Ha Giang City by 4:30 PM. Your tour concludes at QT Guesthouse, where you can catch a bus to Hanoi or explore other destinations.
